Classification
Soham has vast experience in the classification of LiDAR point cloud data, having executed thousands of projects over the years. We do all kinds of classification such as Bare earth, Water, Buildings, Power line, Vegetation and "Only Vegetation" classification. We are able to develop and use customized Macros which are then applied to the point cloud data either locally or generally, so as to achieve the best possible accuracy.
3D Building Classification
UAV's have become an increasingly common tool in Photogrammetry offering a unique set of advantages especially for small to mid-range surveyors. Drones can fly at much lower altitudes compared to manned aircraft and offer high-resolution, precision imagery. They are faster, cheaper & independent of weather conditions such as cloud cover. Soham is able to handle all kinds of drone imagery and are able to process the AT, Mapping and Orthos using the same.
Vegetation Classification
In addition to classifying the vegetation classes as per height, we are also highly experienced in classifying only Vegetation into a single class while removing all man made features such as Vehicles, poles, fences, towers, transmission lines, etc., from the vegetation class.
TIN & DEM, Contour Generation
Upon delineating the best ground, if necessary, terrain and hydro breaklines are collected to achieve the best TIN or DEM surface. From this surface, contours will be generated as per the required interval.
Hydro-digitization, Hydro-Flattening & Enforcement
Soham has wide experience in digitizing hydro features from LiDAR data for various specifications such as USGS & ASPRS. We also delineate all water bodies present in a given area as per the client requirements. We can then perform Hydro-Flattening & Enforcement, where these water bodies are flattened and the river courses are prioritized to generate a highly accurate Hydro-Enforced DEM.
Watershed Management
Soham has also executed projects in various countries where we were able to provide our clients with detailed watershed maps. These maps include delineation of various watershed boundaries from the Macro to Micro Level after which each of these watersheds are assigned the appropriate codes. We are also able to collect individual streams throughout the watershed area from LiDAR data and perform Stream Ordering.
2D/3D Vectorisation
From high density LiDAR point cloud, we are able to capture features such as Buildings, Roads, Driveways, Sidewalks, utilities, vegetation, hydro features, etc. Soham has handled point clouds with densities ranging from 2 ppm to greater than 50 ppm.
